Consistent hashing with virtual nodes is a canonical technique for load balancing in distributed key--value stores. This work presents a Go implementation that preserves a strictly ordered ring of virtual node hashes while supporting dynamic node addition and removal. We formalize the ring invariant, prove that the search for a key remains logarithmic in the number of virtual nodes, and demonstrate that the insertion and deletion of nodes incur only logarithmic rebalancing. The algorithm achieves O(log N) point-query and O(log N) update complexity, with auxiliary memory linear in the number of virtual nodes.
